FOBID focuses on three areas:

• Legal
  The Legal Committee follows (inter) national laws and regulations and the consequences thereof for the information sector ;
• International activities
  FOBID represents the Dutch library industry abroad and acts as a point of contact for international organizations;
• National standards and infrastructure
  FOBID encourages the use of (inter)national standards and infrastructure, and facilitates exchange about this topic
